Conterra's Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight of our company's business and financial affairs and our executive management team.

Stephen R. Leeolou

Chairman

Mr. Leeolou has spent the past 30 years in the telecommunications and communications industries. From 1982 to 1999, Mr. Leeolou held positions of co-founder, COO and CEO of Vanguard Cellular Systems, Inc., one of the first cellular telephone companies in the United States.

Headquartered in Greensboro, NC, Vanguard operated in 28 suburban and rural markets in the eastern U.S. under the Cellular One brand name. Mr. Leeolou helped guide the company through more than $1 billion of private and public financing transactions, dozens of acquisitions, and operating growth that reached nearly one million subscribers. Publicly listed on NASDAQ, Vanguard was sold to AT&T in 1999 for nearly $2 billion and is now part of Cingular Wireless.

After the sale of Vanguard, Mr. Leeolou served as Chairman and CEO of InterAct Electronic Marketing, Inc. which provided on-line and in-store targeted promotional services in the U.S. and U.K. retail grocery and pharmacy industries. In 2002, he formed SouthStar Capital, LLC, a private investment firm owned primarily by Mr. Leeolou and his family which in 2004 became, and remains, Conterra's largest owner.

Prior to his 17 years in wireless communications, Mr. Leeolou was a print, radio and television journalist, primarily in the southeastern U.S. He is a 1978 graduate of James Madison University and was appointed by Governor Mark Warner of Virginia to serve on the JMU's Board of Visitors, a position he still holds.



Robert M. DeMichele


Bob DeMichele has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management business.Currently he is President, CEO and CIO of Strategy Asset Managers LLC, a New York City registered investment advisor that he formed in 2001.

Prior to the formation of his current company, Mr. DeMichele was President, CEO and Chairman of Lexington Global Asset Managers, a $4 billion publicly traded investment management and mutual fund distribution company from 1982 until the company was sold in 2000 to the ING Group.

Mr. DeMichele is a former director of the following publicly traded companies: Richardson Vicks Inc, Vanguard Cellular Systems Inc, Chartwell Reinsurance and the Navigators Group Inc.He is currently a Director of Weeden Securities, a Trustee of Union College and former Chairman of its Investment Committee, and is on the Investment Committee of a $600 million private foundation.

Mr. DeMichele holds a BA degree in Economics from Union College, Schenectady, NY and an MBA in Finance from the Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.



S. Tony Gore, III


Tony Gore has more than twenty years of experience on the corporate development and finance side of the telecommunications industry. Currently, he is a Managing Partner and an owner of SouthStar Capital, LLC, Conterra’s current largest investor and owner.

Previously, from 1985-1999, Mr. Gore was Executive Vice-President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Vanguard Cellular Systems, Inc. where he directed tens of millions of dollars of M & A transactions.

Mr. Gore is a former member of the Governors Task Force for International Economic Development for the state of North Carolina.

He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.



Mark C. Saussy, CPA, CFP


Mr. Saussy received a BBA from the University of Georgia. Mr. Saussy has been with Southeast Asset Advisors since 2001. His primary responsibilities include portfolio management, security analysis, client service, marketing and communication. Immediately prior to joining Southeast Asset Advisors, he was vice president of corporate development for a NYSE Company. He began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Keith W. Stines


Keith Stines, a co-founder of Conterra, has 29 years of telecommunications and project management experience and is the principal owner of the CF Group, LLC which is one of Conterra’s largest shareholders, and he is a member of the company’s management.

He began his career in the commercial construction industry as a Project Manager for a large regional general contracting firm in the Carolinas. After serving as Senior Project Manager for one of the larger construction companies in coastal South Carolina, he opened his own construction company in 1985, establishing one of the first design / build commercial construction businesses in Myrtle Beach, SC. He continued to own and operate that company for 15 years.

In 1990, Mr. Stines founded an associated business, specifically focused on construction and development services for the cellular industry. Providing turnkey acquisition, permitting, site planning and construction services for more than 1,500 cell sites, he led that company as it grew to operate in 23 states with 16 different wireless carriers and infrastructure providers.In 2001, Mr. Stines relied on his 15 years of experience in the wireless communications industry and was instrumental in founding Conterra.

He continues to serve a key role in developing and managing Conterra’s network deployments and operations.
